The Folger Consort
The Four Seasons

In this centerpiece celebration of the seasons, Folger Consort performs three sets of pieces based on the seasons – Antonio Vivaldi's beloved The Four Seasons, four concertos for solo violin and strings; Christopher Simpson's virtuosic set from 17th-century England for violin and two viols; and 20th-century composer John Cage's atmospheric The Seasons, heard in a new arrangement for baroque instruments and percussion.

Performed in the grand space of Washington National Cathedral with baroque orchestra led by violinist and soloist Julie Andrijeski.

Twelfth Night: 'Noel, Nouvelet!'
A Celebration of Epiphany and the Winter Solstice

Armonia Nova returns to historic Christ Church for their ninth annual performance of traditional music celebrating Epiphany and the Winter Solstice. Featuring 12th-17th century music of France, this concert offers traditional, yet timeless music for this most cherished season.

Post-concert reception follows the Sunday performance, providing an opportunity to talk with the performers.
